Priorities

01

A Robust Local Economy

My top priority has always been to build a strong local economy, and I’m proud to say Eagle Mountain is thriving like never before. More than 900 businesses call our city home—a testament to the fact that our community is evolving in ways that attract the services residents need. As our Downtown Master Plan begins to take shape, we are preparing for even more opportunities to welcome new businesses and provide a functional hub families can enjoy. For many years, residents have been anxious to work, shop, and dine closer to home. Knowing this, I’m always trying to cut red tape and make it easy for businesses to operate here. Looking forward, I promise to continue fostering an environment that supports new and existing businesses, ensuring Eagle Mountain’s economic success for years to come.

Roadway Investments

The state’s inability to fund much-needed infrastructure projects on a timeline that matches population growth is a source of growing frustration—and rightfully so. Eagle Mountain is projected to surpass 100,000 residents within the next decade, which is why I’ve worked relentlessly to accelerate funding for vital projects like SR-73, the Mountain View Corridor, and Airport Road. As mayor, one of my responsibilities is serving on the Mountainland Association of Governments, where we help determine how state infrastructure dollars are spent. Projects like the ones I previously mentioned ought to be front and center when we discuss where to invest tax dollars. That’s why I continue to advocate for Eagle Mountain by pushing for a data-driven approach that takes the political contention out of transportation funding and improves your daily commute. I promise to continue fighting for ways to ease congestion, improve safety, and build the infrastructure necessary to support Eagle Mountain’s growth and quality of life. I’m confident there is a path forward that is intentional, scientific, and considerate of all parties involved.

Reliable Energy

As Utah continues to experience rapid growth, the need for sustainable and reliable energy has never been greater—and Eagle Mountain is proactively working with the state’s Operation Gigawatt initiative to explore innovative solutions. Understandably, nuclear energy has long been met with skepticism, often due to misconceptions about safety, health and environmental impact. But today’s nuclear technology is vastly different from the reactors of the past. Modern nuclear energy, including small modular reactors (SMRs), offers a safe, efficient, and clean option for meeting our growing demand—especially as data centers and energy-intensive industries expand locally. What’s more, investing in local energy generation not only ensures a stable power supply but also creates high-paying jobs and reduces the need for costly new transmission infrastructure. While no nuclear projects are currently planned, I want to welcome advanced technologies that can benefit our community. By embracing advanced energy solutions, we can build a more secure, sustainable future for Eagle Mountain.

Open Space

From beautiful parks and wildlife preservation to dark skies and outdoor recreation opportunities, cultivating our open space is at the heart of what makes Eagle Mountain such an incredible place to call home. Community parks aren’t just green spaces—they’re gathering places and peaceful retreats. They represent our shared values and our responsibility to protect and preserve the land for generations to come. With these shared values in mind, I was proud to help our city debut Smith Ranch Park, a new jewel in our park system that reflects our ongoing commitment to outdoor amenities. With thoughtful upcoming additions like trailhead signage and plans to plant more trees, we're not only enhancing access, but also fostering stewardship of the natural world around us. I promise to keep investing in the open spaces that make life here truly beautiful.

Shared Culture

I try to make policy decisions by looking at our region through the eyes of a kid growing up here. For me, the ultimate measure of success is creating a place our children feel proud of. I’d like it to be a place where they want to stay and raise their own families, but at the very least, I hope they can boast that they were raised in Eagle Mountain. Whether it’s investing in more public art that reflects our heritage or supporting plans for gathering places like the up-and-coming downtown hub, I’m always an advocate for creating a warm and welcoming culture. As we welcome newcomers into the fold, we can’t lose what makes Eagle Mountain special. Raising happy and healthy families should always be priority number one.

06

Productive Government

As an enthusiastic advocate of the U.S. Constitution, I’ve always been interested in the foundational principles of our democracy: government transparency, separation of powers, and accountability to constituents. These are more than just talking points; they’re the blueprint for how the government should function at every level—even locally. Eagle Mountain currently operates under a form of government that includes clear checks and balances. The mayor and the city council each have distinct roles designed to balance decision-making power and safeguard public interest, giving everyone a voice when it comes to important choices that impact our community. There have been efforts by some on the city council to shift the balance of power—essentially allowing them to make decisions without oversight. If the people of Eagle Mountain want to explore other forms of government, they have that right. But a change like this must go before the people—not just officials. I strongly believe any effort to alter our city’s current form of government should be on the ballot. As your mayor, I took an oath to uphold the laws and structure of our city. I promise to continue facilitating open and productive conversations with the council, and more importantly, I will always fight for your right to have a say.
